Surveys and Research – your input valued

BCVA occasionally passes on requests to participate in surveys, polls or research that we feel will be of interest to members. Here are some of the surveys that are waiting for your contribution:

  • Research being carried out by Beverley Woodruffe, a postgraduate student at the University of Liverpool Management School, as part of an MBA programme.  This is investigating the impact of differing levels of employee engagement on subsequent employee turnover figures experienced by farm animal veterinary organisations within the UK.

  • This is a follow-up to a questionnaire some of you completed last year about common hygiene practices carried out during foot trimming. Since then the team at Liverpool have produced a protocol for improved hygiene during foot trimming and would like to know if you are aware of the recent changes to recommendations for hygiene during foot trimming, and whether your own practices have changed. The information collected will be treated completely confidentially and is anonymous.

  • During the current COVID-19 restrictions, it remains as important as ever for dairy and beef farmers to receive advice and support from their vet. This short FarmCom survey supported by Boehringer Ingelheim Animal will help vets to understand the needs of cattle farmers in the UK and Ireland, to ensure vets can support the high level of health and production now and in the future.

There is also a Surveys section that is available permanently on this website, which we update regularly. See the Surveys page
