BCVA CPD – What’s on Offer and Who’s it Aimed at?

With a great choice of CPD on offer it can sometimes be difficult to choose which course is right for you. So here’s a brief summary of what we have to offer throughout 2016.

 

FOUNDATION COURSE

Who? This course is aimed at new or recent graduates and those returning to cattle practice.

What? Topics include lameness, diagnostics, nutrition, mastitis, fertility and youngstock. This course consists of 6 modules and each one is run over one day.

Where? Cullompton in Devon

Why? Learn about and improve your knowledge of clinical topics alongside picking up tips on communication and interpersonal skills. The outcome – greater self-confidence and client satisfaction.

 

ADVANCED COURSES

Who? Cattle vets at all stages of their career. An excellent ‘next step’ following attendance of the foundation courses.

What? Topics include lameness, beef and bull, infectious diseases, mastitis, youngstock, nutrition, herd health and welfare and reproduction. All courses are run over either 1.5 or 2 days.

Where? Various locations around the UK.

Why? An opportunity to obtain both technical information and practical application of this information.

 

MASTERCLASSES

Who? Experienced clinicians wanting to develop further their expertise.

What? Topics include housing design, herd health monitoring in large herds and cutting edge fertility management

Where? Various locations around the UK.

Why? Course leaders currently active in ongoing research into their field of expertise will share latest information and research and how it can be applied on farm.

 

Want help completing your CertAVP?

If you are enrolled on the CertAVP course, you can benefit from attending both foundation and advanced BCVA CPD courses. The structure and content have been approved by the RCVS to help you work towards completion of the B (foundation) and C (advanced) modules.
